Description
Stainless Steel Hex Head Tap Bolts are used in non-critical applications or where corrosion resistance is the primary concern. They are used to pull assemblies together and are manufactured with 304 stainless steel. It is recommended that Stainless Steel Hex Head Tap Bolts be used with stainless steel nuts and washers. Length is measured from underneath the head. Longer bolts won’t be fully threaded. Type 18-8 stainless steel has a high resistance to rust and corrosion and may be mildly magnetic. For chemical, salt water or coastal environments type 316 stainless is highly recommended.
